Meet the Team

Dr Kieran Russell, Veterinarian

Kieran graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 with honours and started his career working in a busy practice on the North Shore. Kieran joined Vets @ North Rocks when we opened in 2012 and has since formed a strong bond with the local pet population and their loving owners. Kieran is published in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery and is currently undetaking a Master of Veterinary Medicine by distance education at Massey University. Kieran's major interests are internal medicine and dermatology, though he loves the variety that comes with being a general practitioner. Kieran is the adoptive father of a local abandoned French Bulldog, Bambi, who has incidentally become a clinic mascot.

Dr Kayleigh Ross, Veterinarian

Kayleigh is the newest member to our team, having graduated from the University of Sydney with honours in 2015. Kayleigh comes with years of experience working as an emergency veterinary nurse at a busy referral practice on the North Shore. Kayleigh is no stranger to us as her family lives in North Rocks, and their beautiful pets are regular visitors to the clinic. She really has hit the ground running and we are so excited to have her on board. Kayleigh has always grown up with family pets and is the proud mother of Arnold, who is a brave little ex-blood donor cat she adopted two years ago.

Dr Shing Lee, Veterinarian

Shing graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009 and has been with us since opening in 2012 and never says no to an interesting surgical case! Shing is a local to the area and lives in her loving household with her husband, daughter, and two cheeky cats Mr Jangles and Mo Mo. She is currently on maternity leave with baby number 2 due soon!

Courtney Riddell, Head Nurse

Courtney grew up in a household full of cats, dogs, horses, ducks, chickens, rabbits - you name it! She has always worked with animals, starting out as a qualified dog groomer, and now as a veterinary nurse. Courtney has completed her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing and for the past two years has been our highly esteemed Head Nurse. Courtney is responsible for ensuring our in-hospital patients receive nothing but the best of care, whether they are in for a poodle clip or major orthopaedic surgery. She has two middle aged, slightly fiesty Chihuahuas named Wishes and Chanel and a rescue cat named Ping.

Georgia Marsden, Vet Nurse

Georgia joined the team in early 2015 and is currently completing her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing. She loves greeting all the animals into the clinic and attending to their needs. She also runs our Puppy Preschool program twice a week and enjoys watching the puppies mature from week to week. Georgia is the proud owner of a Golden Retriever named Shylow. Shylow has made many trips to the clinic where she loves to visit the team and spend the day with mum.

Kamila Prus, Receptionist and Vet Nurse

Kamila is the newest member of our team joining us in 2016. She is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has a wild background of animal knowledge previously working as a Zoo keeper. Kamila studied Animal Studies at Taronga Zoo and Captive Animals Certificate III while working with native carnivores. She has also completed an Advanced Canine Behaviour course while raising some very cheeky dingos. Kamila has a very clever German Shepherd named Thor and an Albino Darwin Python named Teddy who she loves to snuggle in front of the TV with.

Tasha Bylsma, Receptionist/Nurse

Tasha works the weekend reception and nursing shifts with us while busy studying law during the week. Tasha is a serious animal lover, which you will certainly notice when you carry your fur baby through the front door.
